Decanting is all the rage these days when it comes to home organization.
Did you know that decanting really means to pour liquid away from the insoluble solid portion of something, such as pouring water from cooked potatoes or wine away from it’s sediment after a few years?
These days most people are using decanters for different reasons. Mostly to store items in an esthetically pleasing way.
Why look at a bunch of ugly cereal boxes or bagged items in your pantry when you can have beautiful, glass or plastic jars that make it easy to see the item? Decanters also make it easy to take inventory and even keeps those items fresher longer.
You can use decanters in your bathroom as well, for hair accessories, cotton products, makeup, etc.
The office is also a great place to decant, you can store paper clips, staples and pens.

Most people have candles with lids lying around the house.
Once you are done with the candle you would remove the excess wax by freezing the candle and popping it out or using soap and warm water. You’ll want to thoroughly was the jar before using.
You can then use acetone nail polish remover and a cotton ball to remove the logo off the jar (this may not work with all). Then add a label via sticker or cricut, voila, instant decanter!
